IPL 2024: ‘Travel by public transport’, Mumbai Traffic Police issues advisory for April 1, 7 matches at Wankhede Stadium

IPL 2024: Mumbai Traffic Police has advised spectators to use public transport for the IPL matches to be held at Wankhede Stadium on April 1 and 7 due to lack of parking facilities. Specific disembarkation points have been designated for spectators arriving by car.

IPL 2024: Mumbai Traffic Police has issued an advisory for travelers ahead of the IPL matches to be held on April 1 and 7 at the city’s Wankhede Stadium. Police said a large number of spectators are expected to attend the event which may cause traffic jams. Mumbai Traffic Police said there is “no parking facility” at the Wankhede Stadium, so it has advised spectators to use public transport to watch the match. It says that there will be no parking facility from 12 noon to 11:30 pm on April 1 (Monday) and April 7 (Sunday).

“C” Road from its junction with NS Road northwards to its junction with “E” Road as and when required.
“D” Road from its junction with NS Road to its junction with “E” Road.
“E” Road from the junction of “D” Road to “C” Road junction.
From the junction of NS Road to the junction of “F” Road “E” intersection.


“G” Road from its junction with N.S.Road southwards to its junction with “E” Cross Road, if required.
“E” Cross Road from the junction of “F” Road to the junction of “G” Road.
N.S.Road South and North from Mafatlal Bath Signal to Air India Junction.
‘D’ Road will be one-way for vehicular traffic (from west to east) from its junction at NS Road (Marine Drive) and towards the junction of “E” and “C” Road.

From the junction of ‘E’ Cross Road N.S. ‘F’ road will be one way (from west to east) for vehicular movement towards the junction. Road (Marine Drive) if required.“E” Road will be one way (south boundary) for all types of vehicular traffic from the junction of ‘D’ Road towards the junction of ‘C’ Road.

Spectators with tickets for Wankhede Stadium gate numbers 01, 02 and 07 will alight at Churchgate station and proceed towards ‘D’ Road.

Spectators with tickets for Gate No. 04 and 05A of Wankhede Stadium will alight at Marine Lines station and proceed towards ‘F’ Road.

Spectators with tickets for Gate No. 03 of Wankhede Stadium will alight at Churchgate station and board the N.S. Will move towards. Road sidewalk.

All visitors coming from NS Road (Marine Drive) will walk on the footpath and not on the road.

Spectators arriving in cars will have to alight at designated disembarkation points marked with signage on NS Road.
